The Erbium YAG Laser light is absorbed by the water in your skin cells. The absorption, in turn, causes the instantaneous vaporization of the cell. It removes the outer layer of skin, leaving newer, smoother skin. It also triggers the production of collagen in your skin, which helps smooth out the raised scars of stretch marks.

The laser can remove both superficial and medium depth lines, including some scars, depending on the controlled depth of the ablation and the amount of treatments performed.
